Description
The dress hangs on a wooden hanger against a pale pink ground, a slice of blue at the top edge. Two hands reach up out of the neckline and grip the hanger from inside, and a pair of bare legs continues below the hem. The figure is holding herself up by the garment she is wearing.
It is the most compact statement in the series: identity as something you have to keep hoisting into shape. Where the face would be there is only the empty triangle of the hanger.
